It depends on what kind of view you want, because a view means something different in each part of Italy.
For the sea, the Amalfi Coast and Taormina in Sicily give you the water directly in front of you, some with sea access below the hotel itself. For the mountains, the Dolomites give you the peaks and the valleys, a completely different setting and a completely different honeymoon. In the city, the view is about calm rather than scenery, a private green space or a courtyard away from the streets, which in Rome or Milan matters more than most couples expect.

Should we stay in one hotel or move between several for an Italy honeymoon?
It depends on how you picture the trip and what your logistics allow.
If you want to cover more of Italy, moving between places works, but stay at least three nights in each base. Below that, too much of the honeymoon goes into packing, checking out and finding your feet somewhere new. Three nights gives a place enough time to feel like somewhere you stayed.

Before the hotel, the more useful question is which of the two suits your honeymoon, because Sicily and the Amalfi Coast offer very different trips.

For a honeymoon it works when you want the coast at its most iconic and a hotel that puts you on the water. Sicily’s east coast gives you more. Taormina and its bay for the sea, but also Etna, the baroque towns, the food and a sense of space the Amalfi Coast does not have. Where it becomes worth it is when the hotel is part of a bigger decision.
